Metal stamping parts
refer to steel/non-ferrous metal sheet dies at room temperature, which are shaped into specified shapes by presses to provide the required pressure for processing. Compared with other methods of mechanical and plastic processing, stamping has many unique advantages in both technical and economic aspects.
The main findings are as follows:
(1) Metal stamping process has high production efficiency, convenient operation and is easy to realize mechanization and automation. This is because metal stamping depends on stamping die and stamping equipment to complete the processing, ordinary press travel times can reach dozens of times per minute, and high-speed pressure can reach hundreds or even more times per minute, and each stamping stroke may get a stamping piece.
(2) Because the die ensures the dimension and shape accuracy of metal stamping parts, and generally does not destroy the surface quality of stamping parts, while the die life is generally longer, the quality of metal stamping is stable, of good interchangeability, and has the characteristics of "exactly the same".
(3) Metal stamping can produce parts with large size and complex shape, such as stopwatches of clocks and watches, lengths of automobiles, panels and so on. With the cold deformation hardening effect of metal stamping, the strength and stiffness of metal stamping are higher.
(4) Metal stamping generally does not produce chips and debris, consumes less material and does not require other heating equipment, so it is a material-saving and energy-saving processing method, and the cost of metal stamping parts is lower.
