The CNC milling machine has the functions of milling machine, boring machine and drilling machine, which makes the working procedure highly centralized. When replacing the workpiece, it only needs to use the processing program, clamping tool and adjust the tool data stored in the CNC device, thus greatly shortening the production cycle and improving the production efficiency. There are various forms of CNC milling machines. Although different types of CNC milling machines differ in composition, there are many similarities. Typical CNC milling machines are divided into six parts, that is, bed, milling head, worktable, cross feed part, lifting platform and cutting oil cooling circulation system.

The reinforcing ribs inside the bed are arranged reasonably and have good rigidity. There are four adjusting bolts on the base to facilitate the adjustment of the machine tool. The cutting oil pool is set inside the bed.
2. Milling head
The milling head part is composed of two parts: a step gearbox and a milling head. The spindle of milling head is supported on high-precision bearing to ensure that the spindle has high rotation accuracy and good rigidity. The spindle is equipped with quick cluster cutter nut, adopting mechanical stepless speed change, wide adjustment range, stable transmission and convenient operation. The brake mechanism can make the spindle brake quickly and save the auxiliary time. When braking, open the stop ring through the brake handle to make the main shaft brake immediately. When starting the main motor, pay attention to release the spindle brake handle. The milling head part is also equipped with a servo motor, an internal toothed pulley, a ball screw pair and a main shaft sleeve, which form a vertical feeding transmission chain to make the main shaft move in a straight line in a vertical direction.
The worktable and bed saddle are supported on the wide horizontal guide rail of the lifting table. The longitudinal feed of the worktable is driven by the servo motor installed on the right end of the worktable. The precision ball screw pair is driven by the internal toothed pulley, so that the worktable can obtain the longitudinal feed. The left end of the table is equipped with a hand wheel and a dial for manual feeding. The wear resistance, movement stability and accuracy retention of the guide rail are improved, and the phenomenon of low-speed crawling is eliminated.
4. Cross feed part
An AC servo motor is installed in front of the lifting table to drive the bed saddle to make a transverse feed motion, and its working principle is the same as that of the table. In addition, the front end of the transverse ball screw is also equipped with a feeding hand wheel, which can realize manual feeding.
5. Lifting table
A locking handle is arranged on the left side, and a long handle is arranged on the front end of the locking handle to drive the bevel gear and the screw of the lifting table to rotate, so as to obtain the lifting movement of the lifting table.
6. Cutting oil cooling system
The cooling part consists of cutting oil pump, oil outlet pipe, oil return pipe, switch and nozzle. The cutting oil pump is installed in the inner cavity of the machine tool base, which pumps the cutting oil from the oil storage pool in the base to the oil outlet pipe, and then ejects it through the nozzle to cool the cutting area. In the lubrication part, the motor-driven lubrication method is adopted. The main shaft sleeve, guide rail and ball screw are lubricated by the lubricating pump through the oil separator to improve the service life of the machine tool.
Great changes have taken place in the overall layout, appearance, transmission system, structure of cutter system and operation mechanism of CNC milling machine. The purpose of this change is to meet the requirements of CNC milling machine and give full play to the characteristics of CNC milling machine.
